Welsh Centre for Action on Dependency and Addiction

WCADA provides a comprehensive range of services to substance misusers and their families.

Services provided by WCADA include abstinence treatment programmes, free injecting equipment, outreach support, tenancy support as well as information and support for family members and carers.  There are also a specialist services for Veterans and young people.

Veterans

Change Step is a CAIS led and ‘Developing a Caring Wales’ managed peer mentoring and advice service.

This service is for military veterans and others with post traumatic stress disorder and a range of psychosocial problems who want to make positive changes to their lives.

The service is delivered by veterans for veterans and aims to support those seeking help for problems encountered as a result of military or operational duty.

The programme offers peer support, training opportunities and signposting to relevant health and welfare services.

Young Persons

SWITCH is a separate young person’s alcohol and drug service offering free and confidential advice, information and support to young people under the age of 25 in the Bridgend area and Neath Port Talbot area.

The programme is delivered by specialised and experienced facilitators and qualified counsellors. The team are dedicated in supporting you towards a happy drug and alcohol free future.
